David Binder

Chief Financial Officer

David Binder was appointed chief financial officer in January 2008 after serving as vice president of finance for InfoSpace since 2004. His management responsibilities include leading the finance organization, overseeing operational finance, accounting and control functions, and investor relations.

Binder has over 15 years experience in finance and development roles in the technology sector. Prior to joining InfoSpace, Binder served as senior director of business development at drugstore.com. Previously, he served as senior director of finance at AT&T Wireless.

David earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics and finance from Brandeis University.

Leo Chang

Chief Technology Officer

Leo Chang joined InfoSpace as its chief technology officer in 2009. He brings more than 15 years of experience in technology, entrepreneurialism and leadership. He oversees InfoSpace's technology department and is responsible for expanding the company's business through new technologies.

Prior to InfoSpace, Chang served as CTO and co-founder of Green Hedges, a home-value insurance product. In 2005, he co-founded ClickShift, an online marketing optimization company later acquired by Web Trends, an online analytics company. Chang served as vice president of software for the U.S. division at Savi Technology from 2002 to 2005. His entrepreneurialism began in 1997, when Chang co-founded his first company, Flyswat, a keyword advertising network. Flyswat was successfully acquired in 2000 by NBC Internet where Chang served as its CTO until 2001. Chang began his technology career at Telesist Technologies Laboratory, which is now a part of AT & T.

Chang earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in computer science and engineering.

Eric Emans

Chief Accounting Officer

Eric Emans was appointed to chief accounting officer in January 2008 after serving as corporate controller for InfoSpace since 2006. His management responsibilities include leading the accounting organization, overseeing financial reporting and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

Prior to returning to InfoSpace, Emans served as director of operations at Corbis Mobile where he was responsible for mobile business operations. Previously, Eric served in a variety of positions at InfoSpace, including senior manager of revenue assurance, and senior manager of finance. Eric began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP where he served as an auditor.

Emans holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Western Washington University, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington and is a licensed CPA in the state of Washington.

Mike Glover

Vice President of Business Development

Michael Glover was promoted to vice president of business development in April 2008. He is responsible for all aspects of InfoSpace’s strategic partner strategy.

Glover brings more than 15 years of business development, sales and marketing experience to InfoSpace. He joined the firm in 2000 as a business development manager before being promoted to director in 2004 and senior director in 2006. Prior to joining InfoSpace, Glover was director of marketing at Uniglobe.com, an online travel agency. He began his career at Sterling Management as a product manager.

Glover is a graduate from Oregon State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Stephen P. Hawthornthwaite

Vice President of Corporate Development

Stephen P. Hawthornthwaite was appointed InfoSpace's vice president of corporate development in March 2010. He is responsible for managing the Company's merger and acquisition activities and its overall new business development.

Hawthornthwaite has more than 14 years of investment banking experience advising both public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions across multiple industry sectors. Prior to joining InfoSpace, he served as partner and managing director at GCA Savvian, an independent investment banking firm, where he was instrumental in building the firm’s digital media franchise and advised on numerous M&A transactions in the digital media and Internet sectors. Previous to his six year tenure at GCA Savvian, Hawthornthwaite served as an officer in the investment banking divisions at Jefferies Group, Inc. and Robertson Stephens, Inc.

Hawthornthwaite earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Duke University and a J.D. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

William J. Lansing

President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member

William J. Lansing became the president and CEO of InfoSpace in February 2009.

Lansing has more than 20 years experience in the technology industry. He was most recently the president and CEO of Value Vision Media, Inc., where he grew the ShopNBC television home shopping network and the ShopNBC.com eCommerce business. Prior to that, Lansing served as CEO of NBC Internet, and president and CEO of Fingerhut Companies, a direct marketing company with catalog and eCommerce businesses.

Prior to Fingerhut, Lansing was vice president of Business Development at General Electric, reporting directly to Jack Welch. Before joining GE, Lansing was the chief operating officer of Prodigy, Inc., an online joint venture of IBM and Sears, where he led a management buyout.

Lansing practiced securities law at Davis Polk & Wardwell, and was a partner at McKinsey & Company.

Lansing earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Wesleyan University and a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.

Alesia Pinney

General Counsel and Secretary

Alesia Pinney was appointed general counsel and secretary in July 2009. She represents InfoSpace on legal and operational matters and plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing the Company’s corporate strategy.

Pinney has nearly two decades of experience as a legal advisor in the technology, healthcare and retail fields. She served an eight–year career at drugstore.com, an online health and beauty retailer as vice president of legal and human affairs, general counsel, chief privacy officer and secretary. At drugstore.com, Pinney successfully managed multiple public equity offerings, private financings and acquisitions. In addition to overseeing all legal and corporate compliance functions, she also managed human resources, public relations and internal audit.

Prior to joining InfoSpace, Pinney served as chief administrative officer and general counsel of Sound Inpatient Physicians, Inc., a hospitalist organization where she created the company’s compliance program and managed malpractice litigation for medical practice with more than 350 physicians.

Previous to that, Pinney held the position of executive vice president of legal operations at Talyst Inc., a developer of pharmacy automation solutions for medication management, where she was responsible for building the legal department and providing legal and regulatory counsel.

Earlier in her career, Pinney was an attorney with the law firm Perkins Coie LLP where she worked on numerous public offerings and M&A transactions, including the IPOs for Amazon.com, Real Networks, Cutter & Buck and Onyx Software.

Pinney earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seattle University and a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver. She also holds a Juris Doctor from Seattle University (University of Puget Sound) School of Law.
